New Adventures
Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a great holiday season and are excited for 2010! The beginning of a year is always so exciting for me because I feel like I have a clean slate. With the new year comes new goals, plans, and adventures!
One major new thing for me this year is the transition to a new job. I recently joined the amazing team at Hurley International to head up display for a new retail concept. Now, I know a lot of you think I’m crazy for leaving my position at Anthropologie, but I am very excited to be on this new venture!
The first store, 225 Forest, opened last summer in Laguna Beach and I joined just in time to open our newest store at the Irvine Spectrum.
Not only do the stores have a great, creative vibe, but the product (which includes Nike, Hurley, and Converse) is really bright and fun. Each store features a customization area where you can come in and custom print a design right onto shoes, swim suits, shirts, and numerous other products.
If you are ever in Laguna Beach or Irvine, make sure to stop by and check them out! I am very excited about the future of our unique stores and look forward to sharing more with you here!

CONGRATS! I have been blog stalking you for a while, and I am sad that I won’t get to see all of the pretty pretty anthro displays… but from what you have shown here, this new adventure seems really fun and bright! So yay!

I’m getting an Anthropologie in my hometown sometime this year, and I understand that you left the company. Would you recommend working there? I’ve always been a fan of the displays, and I’ve even applied some ideas to my dorm at school and bedroom at home. Ultimately, I was hoping to have a job like yours, or would you recommend a new direction? Thanks! I’ve always been a fan of the blog, and hope your new adventures with Hurley go very well.
