Aren’t weekends great? I’m a total weekend adventurer but this last weekend I was totally content to stay home, drink Peet’s Holiday Blend from a french press (thank you, Charlie!), clean, spend time with lovely people, and just be.

With that being said, here’s a Monday Anthro treat for you…necklace stands!

Aren’t the little pleats so pretty?

Now I need to go figure out my own jewelry storage… Maybe I should make some stands for myself. Thoughts? Genius suggestions? How do you store your jewelry?

I love the pleats. It seems like everything I make these days has pleats on it somewhere, they are just so wonderful.

those are great!

i hang my earings from a lamp shade on my bathroom counter….the shade is wood-hatched material that makes little square holes= perfect for hanging earings. and necklaces: i bought a little double tiered silver plater at a thrift store not too long ago and keep them there. not as sweet as hanging them, but it works. :]

i have a pegboard and hang my delicate necklaces in a row cause the chains always get tangled. by the way, when i saw the first picture of the french press and the corningware coffee cup, I smiled–my mother had the same chinaware pattern when she came to the US in the 70’s and we used it all through our childhood. thanks for the memory jog!

i hang my necklaces from nifty looking nails or knobs on the wall. i put my rings in a little glass bowl and i also have a vintage perfume plate that i scatter my jewelry about on. :)

i’ve been meaning to use some of the random hooks i’ve purchased from anthro over the years but haven’t used…. but i think i need to paint before i go nailing away in the walls

i DO use one of the coat rack hooks (the flat ones that just have 4 hooks in a row) for my scarves and vintage hats

What a great way to display and store necklaces. Well done!

i keep my earrings on an ice tray in a drawer. :) they are handy and you can put an ice tray over another one.

I took a pretty frame, took out the glass, hot glued burlap on the inside and walah! – earring storage!

loving those necklace stands!!!!
i like the repurosed frame idea for jewelry storage. what i did was purchase magnetic spice tins from ikea and color coded my earring and i have them stuck on a magnetic sheet in my closet. I used hooks to hang my necklaces, here are pictures…http://lafamiliamejia.blogspot.com/2009/05/laid-off-liberation-pt-2.html

Cool necklace stands, but I’m excited about your coffee cup! lol. My grandparents had that same design ages ago and every time I see one I think of them. Great memories of drinking “coffee” (mainly milk and a little coffee) with my grandma when I was a little one. :)

I’ve used small of pieces metal piping and joints from the hardware store to make stands for jewelry in my shop. It has a nice sturdy industrial feel.

I use two small plaques with antlers mounted to them to hang my jewelry off of. I found the antlers from an online estate sale for super cheap, and spray painted the bases and plaques matte white. I hang necklaces, bracelets, and rings from the various points.

Hi, I am going for an interview at anthropologie this coming week for the display coordinator position. I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions about the job. Please send me an email.. it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you !
