Welcoming Fall

Ever since I can remember, my family has made the drive up to the foothills here in Southern California to go to this town called Oak Glen. It is an apple orchard town where you can pull off the road, pay to pick some apples, and press fresh cider. Gradually the town has exploded as a tourist spot and gets super packed on the weekends, but as a result there are little street vendors, pumpkin patches, little carnivals and all sorts of fun things going on.

This year was especially fun because my nephews got to come too…here’s one of the, Xander, helping press our cider. (That’s Elijah at the top)

I love family traditions like these and even though it was kind of warm, it was fun to get out of the city for a little bit and enjoy some fall-like things with people I love. I even got Apple Pie Mini Donuts—yumm! And we bought a couple 5 POUND APPLE PIES. No lie. So yummy and fresh!
