One of our latest product features at Salvation was the brand new Nike 6.0 apparel line for women that just hit select stores last month.

For the front of store display I created platforms out of stacked honeycomb cardboard cut into interlocking geometric shapes. Above, I hung a mobile of similar geometric shapes with imagery from the look book as well as a simple frosted white lamp that I modified to be hung from a bright orange cord.

Each one had a frosted white lightbox top to high light the items and basically make the platforms look like glowing spaceships. (Pretty hard to see in this picture because it’s so bright!)

The line is made up of cute but comfy clothing that blurs the line between athletic and street wear–things like pull over sweatshirts with hidden pockets and brightly colored, loose trouser leggings.

More business card goodies for you!

These are some little beauties I whipped up for myself on a whim a few months back. Basic printing, standard size, super simple, but gets the job done. Plus, aren’t the green stripes so great?

This invitation set belongs to some dear friends–two absolutely lovely people, Hank and Daisy (soon-to-be) Kettlesen.

Having lived in Hawaii for awhile, Daisy is quite the island girl. They decided to throw a luau wedding and I was lucky enough to get to design the invites!

I styled the invitations after vintage Hawaii travel posters using their vibrant wedding colors.

It was such a joy to do your invitations, Hank and Daisy!

New NikeSB IconxIcon displays went up a few weeks ago. We did a front of store display with a split armchair

We also installed a large window display with two mini skate ramps, a backdrop from a mural, and shop lights.

This collection of specially designed Hurley Silks hit our stores a couple weeks ago. Coming in a pocket tank, a racer back dress, and a dolman button up, they have been flying off the shelf.

To celebrate the release of the line we are having a girls only, private shopping event this Thursday from 7-9pm at our Irvine Spectrum store.

Few people can call Los Angeles home. It’s one of the things I love about it–people come from every corner of the earth to convene in this crazy city. One of the first things people would relate to LA is traffic. Cars. People. Crowds. It’s a busy place. It’s hard to imagine LA without all the vehicles and people because it’s such a major part of the way everything works. Well thanks to this video, you don’t have to imagine too much…

This video, created by Ross Ching, was inspired by Matt Logue’s Empty Los Angeles photo series and shows a time lapse video of different parts of LA devoid of cars and people. It’s eerie but peaceful. Reminds me of those moments I have (normally while driving on some freeway through the city) where everything seems to slow down and the light is hitting everything just right. I feel overwhelmed by how beautiful the city is and am so happy to call Los Angeles my home. I love those moments and I hope this video makes you feel the same!

If you haven’t already figured it out, I am obsessed with succulents.

A few months back I bought a bunch for our retail workspace and I bought a couple plant stands from Eric Trine to hold them.

Planters were from Ikea for 98 cents (!) and looked great against the rust and metal.
